The song is written by Raftaar himself and some quotes delivering my Nawazuddin Siddiqui(The Lead actor playing Manto) is used in the song as the punching words.

The song, Mantoniyat addresses the social issues of that post independence era which is also very much prominent after 70 years of independence. It talks about the politics, corruption, freedom of expression, social taboos, body shaming and sexual harassment etc. It’s truly a no-holds-barred track. It written in such a way that it seems like Manto is talking through Raftaar’s voice and it is truly inheriting the brave ,unconventional Urdu poet who broke the conventional way of soft artful writing and slapped the sociality with hard truth. He used the street language in his writing to express his heart and soul. He never used sugar quoted language to attract the publishers to reach all kind of reader. Usse waise hi pesh kyon na kiya jaaye
Main to apni kahaniyon ko ek aaina samajhta hoon
Jismein samaaj apne aap ko dekh sake, dekh sake “
And ends with a quote,
“Agar aap meri kahani ko bardaasht nahi kar sakte
Toh iska matlab yeh hai ki yeh zamana hi na-kabil-e bardaasht hai”
